Sharing your map

Share a map as a public link, complete with a live, interactive viewer. Open the Share dialog from the editor.

Getting a link

Making a map creates a shareable link right away. To copy the link (and get a QR code), you'll need to be signed in — signed-out users see the link masked with a prompt to sign up.

Visibility

Choose who can find your map:

• Unlisted (default) — anyone with the link can view it, but it won't appear in search engines.
• Public — viewable and indexable, with proper preview cards for social/search.
• Private — not viewable via the link.

Password-protected sharing is coming soon.

Managing the link

• Rotate link — issues a fresh URL and retires the old one (use it if a link leaked).
• Revoke link — turns off the map's URL and every embed of it at once.
• Let viewers export — off by default; turn it on to let viewers download the map as PNG, PDF, KML, or GeoJSON.

The public viewer

Your shared map opens in a clean, read-only viewer with:

• The map title and an interactive, filterable map.
• A quick-filter chip and a find-a-place search box.
• Zoom and fullscreen controls, and any saved views you added.
• A "Made with Mapize" badge (removable on Solo — see Plans & billing).
