FAQ & Troubleshooting
Quick answers to the questions that come up most.
Quick answers to the questions that come up most.
Import & geocoding
My Google Sheet won't import. The sheet must be shared so anyone with the link can read it. In Google Sheets: File → Share → Anyone with the link, or File → Share → Publish to web. Or just download it as CSV and drop it in.
Some rows didn't show up on the map. They're in the Attention tray with a reason — usually no usable address, coordinates out of range, or an empty row. Fix the address in your source and re-import, or exclude the row. See Importing your data.
A pin is in the wrong place / says "Approximate location." The address was geocoded with low confidence. Use a more complete address (street, city, state, ZIP), or provide latitude/longitude columns to place points exactly.
How many rows can I map? Up to 10,000 map smoothly on any plan; 50,000 is the maximum per import. This isn't a paid limit.
Sharing & embedding
My embed won't load on my site. Only the embed view can be placed on another website; the regular share link view can't be framed. Use the snippet from the Embed tab (see Embedding a map).
My old link stopped working. If you rotated the link a new URL was issued and the old one retired; if you revoked it, the map and all its embeds were turned off. See Sharing your map.
My map isn't showing up in Google. Unlisted maps are intentionally hidden from search. Set visibility to Public to make it indexable.
Can I remove the "Made with Mapize" badge? Yes, on the Solo plan. See Plans & billing.
Account & plans
Live Google Sheets sync says I need to upgrade. Ongoing, refreshing sheet connections are a Solo feature. One-time sheet imports are free. See Live data with Google Sheets.
I downgraded — where did my maps go? Nothing is deleted. Maps beyond the free limit are read-only until you upgrade or pick which one to keep active. See Organizing your maps.
How do I cancel? Use Manage billing to open the Stripe portal and cancel any time; access continues to the end of the period. See Plans & billing.
