Getting Started
The spreadsheet-to-map basics, start to finish.
Mapize turns a spreadsheet into an interactive map in about a minute — no setup, no login required to start.
What you can do
- Drop in a spreadsheet (or paste rows, or link a Google Sheet) and get a live map of every location.
- Style it and filter it to highlight what matters.
- Share a public link, embed it on your site, or export it.
The core flow
- Add your data. On the home page, drag in a CSV/Excel file, paste rows from a spreadsheet, or paste a Google Sheet link.
- Check the match. Mapize auto-detects which columns are addresses or latitude/longitude, plus a name for each marker. Confirm or adjust the mapping.
- Make the map. Addresses are geocoded to points; rows that already have coordinates plot instantly.
- Style and explore. Color points by a category, cluster them, or filter to focus on the points you care about.
- Save and share. Sign in to save the map to your account, then share a link or grab an embed snippet.
Do I need an account?
You can build a map without signing in. You need a free account to save a map and to copy a share link. See Plans & billing for what's included free versus on the paid Solo plan.
